Nasarawa Female Lawmaker, Hon. Danyaro expresses readiness to enrol 200 vulnerable persons into the state health insurance scheme

Member representing Nasarawa Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Hajara Danyaro Ibrahim, has expressed her readiness to enrol 200 vulnerable persons in her constituency into the state health insurance scheme via the adoption model.

Hon Danyaro the Chairman House Committee on Women Affairs, made the disclosure in Lafia on Tuesday while on courtesy call to the Executive Secretary of the agency.

The lawmaker explained that 200 vulnerable population in her constituency will benefit from the gesture in order to reduce the burden of the cost of healthcare and make services accessible to them.

While underscoring her continued commitment to improving the quality of life of the people of Nasarawa Central constituency, Hon Danyaro commended the state government for the initiative.

Speaking, the Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA), Dr Yahaya Bawa Ubam, commended the lawmaker for her dedication to the welfare and well-being of her people.

The Executive Secretary emphasised the agency’s objective to provide quality, effective, and affordable healthcare services to every resident of the state in an effort to achieve universal health coverage by 2030.

Additionally, Dr. Ubam urged other lawmakers, philanthropists and Non Governmental organisations (NGOs)  to embrace the agency adoption model, which permits well-meaning people to register their friends, family members, and vulnerable population in the society by paying the yearly premium.
