NASHIA Executive Secretary Dr Gaza urges political appointees to complement government effort in improving health care service delivery
Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA), Dr Gaza Gwamna has urged political appointees in the state on the need to complement state government effort in improving health care service delivery of citizens towards attainment of Universal Health Coverage.
Dr Gaza Gwamna made the call while delivering a remark during an interactive session organized by the Agency on the implementation of the Health Insurance Scheme in the state that held on Wednesday at the Conference Hall of Ministry for Local Government, Community Development and Cheiftancy Affairs in Lafia.
The Executive Secretary, while appreciating the participants, stressed that the essence of the session was to keep political appointees knowledgeable of the activities of the Agency.
Earlier, the state Head of Civil Service, Mr Nicolas Abari Aboki while welcoming the participants, accentuated the essential of the scheme and implored political appointees in the state to key into it.
Contributing, Senior Special Assistant and Special Assistant to the Governor, Aishatu Isa Idoma and Lamino Ishaq Gambo described the programme as timely, just as they pledged to apprise the public on the need to enroll in the scheme.
Pinnacle of the event were questions and answers while the interactive session had in attendance Honourable Commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, Head of Agencies, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants amongst others.
