NASHIA Expresses Readiness To Synergize With PCN For Effective And Quality Health Service Delivery

Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA) has expressed its readiness to synergize with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) in its quest for effective and quality Health care service delivery and to better the insurance  sector in the state towards achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC). 

Dr  Yahaya Bawa Ubam, the Executive Secretary of the Agency made this known when he hosted a delegation from the state Council of the PCN led by the state Coordinator, Pharmacist Nwora B. O. who were at his office on a courtesy call on Tuesday.

The Executive Secretary expressed gratitude to the Council for the visit and reaffirmed his continued commitment to operate an open-door policy. 

Speaking earlier, the Nasarawa State Coordinator, Pharmacist Nwora B. O.  said the Council came on a courtesy visit to congratulate the NASHIA Executive Secretary on his recent appointment  by the state governor. 

He informed the Executive Secretary on the Council's activities, assuring him of the Council resolve in the state to cooperate with the agency to better the sector and health care service delivery.  

The Council gave some of the operational guidelines that govern its activities while wishing the Executive Secretary, Dr Ubam success. Alongside the state PCN coordinator were Ag. DPS FMC Keffi, State Coordinator NAFDAC, PSN state chairperson and ACPN state chairperson, in addition to DPS state MoH. 

Recall that a month ago, the state Governor, His Excellency Engr Abdullahi A Sule appointed Dr Yahaya Bawa Ubam as Executive Secretary of NASHIA. This came after the pioneer Executive Secretary was appointed Commissioner for Health to man the state ministry of health.
